Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Following government advice, our playgrounds and outdoor gym equipment on the grounds of Wainscott Recreation Ground (behind the Memorial Hall in Holly Road), Wainscott Fields ('Liberty Park') and on Coomber Green (between Fordwich Drive and Hertsfield Avenue) are now OPEN at users own risk, enjoy being social but keep your distance.

There has been a community group set up on Facebook called 'Helping Hands - Cliffe Woods/Cliffe/Wainscott/Higham'. The group is designed to help any elderly or vulnerable people who may have to self isolate over the next few months who will be needing a helping hand. This could be with picking up shopping, posting mail or picking up urgent supplies. Also the mental health risks of being stuck indoors for a long period of time is a huge strain, so knowing a friendly voice is at the end of the phone can be a great help.

If you are not self isolating and are wanting to help the vulnerable or at risk in your community please join the group above and/or see the self isolation help slips on the news section of our website which can be printed and distributed to your neighbours.

If you are in need of help and do not have access to Facebook you can email who can route your enquiry through the appropriate person who is helping in your area.
