Today, we pause to remember and honour all those who have served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present. As a Parish, we join together in reflection and gratitude for the courage and dedication of the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
We are also pleased to share that the Parish commissioned local charity, The Octopus Foundation based at Medway City Estate, to create a Memorial Board to commemorate those from our community who have died in combat which will be hung at the Memorial Hall on Holly Road, Wainscott.
Thank you so much to The Octopus Foundation for completing this board and the amazing work they do for vulnerable people in our community.
We are currently working to gather the names of all local individuals from the Parish who should be remembered on this board. If you have a relative or friend who served and would like their name included, please contact us at clerk@frindsburyextra-pc.gov.uk
Let us remember them — today and always.
“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”
