AGM 2008 Highlights:

Upnor residents learnt that their local PCSO Sean Brooks now holds a fortnightly surgery at Wainscott Memorial Hall from 10:00 till noon. The next is on 21st May.

Anyone spotting anything suspicious happening in the Upnors should not wait for the surgery but call 01634 891105, or if urgent, 01634 891055.

The URA made £560-worth of donations to various charities over the past year. The last was to the Arethusa Old Boys, who have invited residents along to meet them at their reunion on Saturday 6th September at the AVC.

New turf and benches placed on the green at Lower Upnor by the Parish Council were much appreciated.

The two quiz nights and cricket match held by the URA had been well-received by villagers. Forthcoming events will be posted on the noticeboards in Lower and Upper Upnor.

The URA has a new Chairman in the person of Derek Evans, while Debbie Charlston is the new Hon. Secretary.
