297 APOLOGIES

Apologies for absence were received from:

Cllr Gordon Bird, indisposed

Cllr Gary Etheridge, at work

Cllr Mrs Brenda Hoskin, family reasons

It was proposed by Cllr Coomber, seconded by Cllr Mrs Coomber and carried unanimously that these apologies be accepted by the Council.

An apology for absence had also been received from Cllr Mason but no reason had been given and this apology was not accepted.

300 RESOLUTION TO EXCLUDE PRESS AND PUBLIC

The resolution to exclude the press and public on the grounds that the following item is a legal matter was proposed by Cllr Mrs Etheridge, seconded by Cllr Moore and carried unanimously.

301 WOODLAND, LOWER UPNOR

The report commissioned on the trees close to the retaining wall in Margett’s Place was tabled, together with a letter from the Council’s solicitor and a copy of the Land Registry transfer.

After discussion, it was agreed to forward a copy of the tree report to the solicitor and ask for a letter to be written to the nominated representative of the owners of the wall.

The Clerk was asked to ascertain the insurance position.

The Chairman closed the meeting at 8.28 pm
