On 11 November 2008 (Armistice Day), Councillor David Coomber, Chairman of Frindsbury Extra Parish Council, laid a wreath on behalf of the Council in remembrance of local servicemen and women from the parish who gave their lives in the service of their country.  The card attached says "Members and Clerk of Frindsbury Extra Parish Council: In Remembrance" while the blue ribbon says "Lest we forget".

The Councillors and other members of the public were joined by Wainscott Guides on this simple but moving occasion.  Cllr David Miller said a few words, read out the list of local servicemen killed during World War Two, announced a one minute silence and then answered some questions from the Guide's about aspects of Armistice Day.
