MC2007/0821 : Crest Nicholson development, Wainscott: Phase I revised drawings
After discussion, it was agreed the Council respond as follows:
Frindsbury Extra Parish Council understands that the revised drawings are in response to issues raised by Medway Council's planning officers. The Parish Council would like to raise the issue of the “parking courtyards”. Are these spaces to be allocated or first come, first served? – if they are to be allocated, the Parish Council is concerned at the lack of visitors' parking provision. The Parish Council has past experience of complaints over parking on earlier housing developments where no provision is made for visitors.

MC2007/1147: Crest Nicholson development, Wainscott : Landscaping plan for public open space
After discussion, it was agreed the Council respond as follows:
There is a lack of provision of dog bins. Past experience of the planting of mature trees in the parish has shown that they are liable to vandalism. Whips have been better able to grow into mature trees. There is great concern over the proposed use of wooden street furniture. Past experience has shown that wooden items have been subject to arson. There is particular concern over a wooden-faced litter bin - the metal litterbins on the Wainscott Recreation Ground have been regularly set on fire |
