DECISIONS

| a | MC2005/1651: 20 and 22 Hollywood
Lane, Wainscott: Demolition of 2 dwellings and erection of ten 2.5 storey
houses and two 1.5 storey bungalows Refused: The backland element of the proposed development would be out of keeping with the existing pattern of residential development within the vicinity of the application site. In addition, the backland element of the proposed development would give rise to noise disturbance and a loss of privacy to the detriment of the amenities of the occupiers of 24 Hollywood Lane as a consequence of the siting of the rear properties and the access serving them. The proposed development would give rise to a loss of privacy for the occupiers of 6a Burton Close as a consequence of the siting of plots 2 and 3 relative to the aforementioned existing property. The proposal is therefore contrary to the provisions of Policy ENV15 the Kent Structure Plan 1996, Policies H9 and BNE2 of the Medway Local Plan 2003 and Policy QL1 of the Kent and Medway Structure Plan (Deposit Version) 2003. |
